Immigration

The nation's immigration system is badly broken. Fixing the system needs to be a national priority. We cannot continue to accept the damage done by a large underground economy. We also need to achieve better border security in order to protect our state and nation.

Immigration is one of the most difficult issues currently facing the State of Georgia and the United States. Getting the policy right is vital. I believe that most Georgians are concerned with illegal immigration, and rightly so. Illegal immigration is a serious problem that undermines the rule of law, creates unfair competition, and increases security risks.

Primary responsibility for immigration policy falls to the federal government. I personally believe it is time for a wholesale overhaul of the federal system. If you feel as I do, I would encourage you to contact your federal legislators to share your interest in comprehensive immigration reform.
